Joan was born and raised in NE Ohio – not far from Cleveland. A graduate of Bowling Green State University, with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, she spent more than a decade anchoring and reporting TV news in Dayton, Ohio and Orlando, Florida. Joan transitioned to an award-winning Public Relations career at Universal Orlando and Walt Disney World where she led a succession of rare and high-profile projects in PR, Corporate Communications and Strategic Content Development. She resides with her husband Ian and their three kitties in the charming central Florida town of Mount Dora where she is surrounded by family.
